In Redmond

Just a quick post from inside the MS Vistor Centre in Redmond. Just seen a Compaq Luggable I still have in my Dad's loft inside a museum exibit - that's bad. Anyway, I'm now heading back to the office, then back to Chicago at the weekend.

This is a comment from the Tablet PC exhibit. The Compaq tc1100 is really nice - Think this is my favoutite Tablet PC form factor. This one I am on is 1.1 Ghz with 512Mb Ram. Pretty sweet...

Urgh, does it not smell of sleaze there? ;-)

Seriously, it is one of the coolest places I have worked in my entire life. The developers and PM's you meet are just top-notch folks that just get it. It was funny watching people's desktops to see how they use the operating system and which search engines were used... Just because I have a soft spot for Java doesn't mean I cannot recognise talented people when I meet them. But then again I've always had a soft spot for the dark side...

I also got to have a look round the Amazon HQ in Seattle. That was good fun also.
